When Hildreth’s began refurbishing their on-site clothing and outdoor living store as ‘Country Threads’, they asked us to create an e-commerce website to sit alongside the new retail concept. Naturally, our next question was… what’s the timescale?
With the store opening planned just six weeks later, the project quickly became a fast-paced collaboration. The brief covered everything from design and build through to configuring e-commerce systems, uploading inventory, setting up payment gateways and testing the full experience ahead of launch.
A fast-paced build
Working within a tight timeframe and modest budget, we agreed a clear plan of action with the Hildreth’s team. We began with an initial sprint to create a demo store design, before developing the functionality and features required for the full e-commerce experience.
As a companion to the main Hildreth’s website, we carried across the existing brand styling to ensure the new site felt familiar to their audience, while also helping to streamline the creative process.

Bringing the store online
With the structure in place, the focus shifted to populating and organising the product inventory. Navigation and filtering systems were developed to help visitors quickly browse and discover products, while the store team worked alongside us to upload imagery and product details.

The new e-commerce website launched in time for the opening of the Country Threads store. A few late nights were inevitable, but it was a great example of what can be achieved through close collaboration and a shared focus on bringing a new idea to life quickly.
