Shooting a recruitment film for social channels at Oasis Academy
Oasis Academy in Southampton approached us to help with their staff recruitment efforts by creating a short film for their social media channels. The goal was to capture the voices of both current staff and students, showcasing what the academy is all about and how it engages with the local community.
Content Creation and Social Media Film
The video shoot needed to fit around the normal school schedule, with lessons and activities taking place throughout the day. Our crew was prepared for a dynamic environment, moving across classrooms, music suites, offices, science labs, and the auditorium to capture interviews and b-roll footage whenever the spaces became available.
We began the day by filming interviews with a group of students, getting their perspective on life at Oasis Academy. As the day unfolded, we captured a series of interviews with staff members, highlighting the diverse roles and contributions across the academy.
In the afternoon, we conducted a full tour of the academy, filming b-roll footage of the school’s facilities, including classrooms, sports areas, and other key spaces. To showcase the scale and setting of the site, we included drone footage, giving viewers a real sense of the academy’s environment.

The result was a well-rounded short film, perfect for use across social media platforms. The video captures the vibrant atmosphere of Oasis Academy, with genuine insights from both staff and students about their experiences and the school’s mission within the community.
