We teamed up with creative agency SMP to create a compelling product feature video that highlights the robustness and versatility of San-Disk’s latest drive.

The challenge was to show how tough the drive is in harsh outdoor conditions while also highlighting its smooth performance in a professional studio environment, and we had just one day to get it all done!

Capturing a narrative across two diverse settings

We needed to capture both stills and video footage in two distinct locations: Hackney Marshes, an outdoor area, and a studio in Soho where editing takes place.

The aim was to highlight how strong and reliable the new drive is by subjecting it to challenging outdoor conditions in the morning and then demonstrate its reliability in a professional editing studio in the afternoon.

We started the day at Hackney Marshes, where we filmed the drive being dropped into puddles and on muddy ground to show its durability. The morning shoot needed careful planning and execution to ensure we effectively captured the drive’s robustness.

In the afternoon, we transitioned to an editing studio in Soho, where we put together the footage we shot earlier. This allowed us to highlight how smoothly the drive works in a real professional setting.

Driving interest and sales through compelling storytelling

The final video successfully captured the essence of the San-Disk drive’s durability and versatility. This engaging video is now being used as an advertisement film on platforms like Amazon and as point-of-sale (POS) films in stores globally.

This video serves as a valuable asset in San-Disk’s marketing strategy, capturing people’s interest and helping to boost sales through compelling storytelling.
